Stockholm Cruise Terminal to Arlanda: The Turnaround-Day Transfer
A turnaround day in Stockholm runs on a deadline that doesn't move — a reboarding cutoff if you're flying in for a shore excursion, or a flight departure if you're disembarking for good. Either way, the last thing you want between a pier and an airport is an unpredictable trip.
This is a straightforward route we drive on its own terms: a fixed-price car between any of Stockholm's cruise terminals and Arlanda, with no partnership or booking tie to any cruise line — we simply take you between the two on the schedule you need.
The three cruise terminals, and why it matters which one
Stockholm's cruise calls use three named terminals — Frihamnen and Värtahamnen, both northeast of the city centre, and Stadsgården, closer in and within walking distance of Gamla Stan. Distance and journey time to Arlanda differ a little between them, generally in the range of 45 to 60 minutes depending on the terminal and traffic, so it's worth entering the exact one you're at rather than "Stockholm cruise terminal" generically.
When you book, your driver is sent to the specific terminal and pickup point you enter — the same as any other address in our service area.
Timing it against a hard deadline
Because your ship is already docked, there's no live tracking equivalent to flight data on the pickup side — the pickup time is the one you book, so it pays to build in a sensible buffer against whichever deadline you're working to. For a flight out of Arlanda, that means the usual advice for international departures: arrive with enough time for check-in and security ahead of your gate closing. For a reboarding deadline, work backwards from the ship's stated final boarding time with room to spare — cruise lines are typically strict about it, and a missed reboarding isn't something a taxi can fix after the fact.
If you're arriving into Arlanda and heading to a cruise terminal instead — the reverse of this route — we do track your flight, and your pickup at Arlanda adjusts to your actual landing time the same way it would for any other arrival.
What to expect on the day
Cruise disembarkation tends to mean full-size luggage rather than carry-on — often more of it than a typical airport transfer, since it covers a whole trip rather than a weekend bag. Our vehicle categories scale for that: a Standard or Electric car suits one or two passengers with typical luggage, while an SUV / XL or Minibus makes sense for a family or a group sharing a cabin, so nobody's luggage ends up needing a second car.
As with any booking, the price is fixed for the whole vehicle and agreed before you travel — one figure for everyone in the car, not a fare per passenger.
Booking a cruise terminal transfer
- Enter the specific terminal — Frihamnen, Stadsgården or Värtahamnen — as your pickup point, and Arlanda (or your onward address) as the destination.
- Choose the vehicle category that fits your group and luggage; the fixed price appears before you commit.
- If you're working to a flight, add the flight number so we can advise realistic timing against it, even though the pickup itself is a fixed time rather than tracked.
- Pay by card to confirm. Your driver's name, phone number and licence plate arrive 90 minutes before pickup.

Questions people ask before booking
Do you have a partnership with any cruise line?
No — we're not affiliated with any cruise operator. We simply drive the route between Stockholm's cruise terminals and Arlanda on a fixed price, booked directly with us.
Which Stockholm cruise terminals do you serve?
Frihamnen, Stadsgården and Värtahamnen — enter the specific one you're at when you book, since journey time to Arlanda varies a little between them.
How much buffer should I leave for a turnaround-day flight?
The same as any international departure — allow enough time before your booked pickup for check-in and security ahead of your flight's gate closing, on top of the drive itself.
Is my pickup time flight-tracked on this route?
Not from the cruise-terminal side, since your ship is already docked at a fixed time. If you're arriving at Arlanda and heading to a cruise terminal instead, that leg is tracked against your actual landing time as normal.
Can one car take a family sharing a cabin, with all their luggage?
Yes — our SUV / XL and Minibus categories are built for exactly that: more seats and a larger combined luggage budget than a standard car, for one fixed price.
How far in advance should I book a turnaround-day transfer?
As soon as you know your reboarding deadline or flight time — booking early gives the most flexibility, and free cancellation up to 12 hours before pickup means an early booking isn't a risk if your plans shift.
