Most booking platforms give you a general area or an approximate pin for a cottage rental rather than the exact building, since privacy and the informal nature of a lot of Swedish holiday-letting mean a precise, mappable address isn't always what you're sent. That's normal, but it means the directions your host actually gave you — a landmark, a specific turning, a description of the cottage itself — often matter more than the address text.

• The exact directions or address your cottage owner sent you, copied as closely as possible to their own wording
• A map pin or coordinates if you were given one, even alongside a written address
• Any distinguishing landmark — the colour of the cottage, a named turning, a neighbouring farm — that a host mentioned when confirming your booking
• A contact number for your host, in case the last stretch needs confirming on the day

Many Swedish cottage rentals use a key box or lockbox rather than someone meeting you at the door, with a code sent separately from the address. That's fine for your driver to know about too — mention it in the notes so there's no confusion if the cottage looks unoccupied when you arrive, and so the driver knows they're dropping you at the right empty-looking building rather than somewhere that seems like a mistake.

If your cottage's directions look genuinely hard to follow — no street number, a description rather than an address, several turns off a minor road — flag it when you book so we can confirm the route in advance.
