A child seat for a young child (roughly age 0 to 3) can be requested when you book, the same way you'd note a stroller or extra luggage. Add it to your booking and it's confirmed before you pay, so you're not relying on finding one at the airport or holding a child on your lap for the ride into the city.

For older children who no longer need a full child seat but still use a booster, plan to bring your own: the seats we fit at booking are for children under 1 and from 1 to 3 years, and boosters for older children are not part of the booking.

Between two adults, two or three children, suitcases for a couple of weeks and the inevitable bag of gifts for grandparents, a family visit often needs more room than a Standard car's four seats comfortably allow.

• Standard, Electric or Business: 4 passengers, a 6-unit luggage budget — at most 4 pieces, of which at most 2 large (2 large + 2 cabin, 1 large + 3 cabin, or 4 cabin).
• SUV / XL: 6 passengers, a 10-unit luggage budget, at most 4 large — usually the right fit for a family of five with a full set of luggage.
• Minibus: 8 passengers, an 18-unit luggage budget, at most 8 large, for two families travelling together.

Stockholm summers run long and bright, which makes the arrival itself pleasant even after a full flight with children — but it doesn't change the practical side of getting from the airport to your relatives' address with everyone and everything in one trip. Booking ahead means the car is already the right size, the price is fixed before you fly, and your driver knows your flight number so a delay doesn't change the plan.
