Terminal 2 Departures at Arlanda: Drop-Off and Check-In

Airlines are periodically reassigned between Arlanda's terminals, so the terminal on last year's boarding pass, or a friend's recent trip, isn't a reliable guide to which one you need today. Check your boarding pass or airline confirmation for the terminal number, or check directly with Swedavia's flight information for Arlanda if you're booking your transfer before you have a boarding pass in hand.

When you book, tell us which terminal your flight departs from if you know it — Terminal 2, 4 or 5 — so the driver heads straight there rather than to the main complex by default. If you don't know yet when you book, that's fine; just check before the day and let your driver know once you do, ideally with enough notice before pickup that it's simply part of the plan rather than a last-minute change.

There's no terminal fee built into the price whichever terminal you're dropped at, so the terminal itself doesn't change what you pay.

Your driver can be told the terminal en route if it changes or if you only confirm it that morning — just message the number you were sent before pickup. It's a normal, easy adjustment, not something that needs to be locked in weeks ahead.

Terminal 2 has its own check-in, security and gate area, separate from what you'd find at Terminal 4 or 5 — it's a fully functioning terminal in its own right, just physically apart from the larger complex most travellers are more familiar with. If you've flown from Arlanda before but always from Terminal 5, don't assume Terminal 2's layout will feel the same; treat it as if you were arriving at the airport for the first time and follow the signage from the drop-off point.

If you arrive at the wrong terminal — dropped at the main complex when your flight is actually from Terminal 2, or vice versa — there is a way to move between them, but it takes real time you likely don't have on a departure morning. This is exactly why confirming the terminal before you set off matters more at Arlanda than at an airport where every terminal shares one building.
