Sweden, like the rest of the EU, sets quantity limits on alcohol you can bring in without declaring it, and the limits differ depending on whether you're arriving from within the EU or from outside it, and by drink type (spirits, wine, beer). Duty-free bottles usually come in a sealed bag, which is worth keeping intact until you're home — it protects against breakage and, depending on your onward travel, may matter for security rules on liquids. In the boot, bottles travel best upright or well-cushioned by soft luggage around them rather than loose against hard cases.

A case or two of bottles adds real volume even though it doesn't weigh much extra on the passenger side, so count it toward your luggage units the same way you would an extra bag when choosing a vehicle category, especially if you're already close to your category's limit with regular luggage.
