A Business Trip Booked Yesterday: Getting the Transfer Right
Updated 3 min read
Some business trips are planned weeks out; others are decided yesterday and you're flying tomorrow. A short lead time on the trip itself doesn't mean the ground transport has to be an afterthought — it can be booked just as properly, just as quickly, with the same guarantees as a trip planned a month in advance.
This guide covers booking a transfer on short notice, and what protects you if a fast-moving trip's plans shift again after you've booked.

Booking quickly
The booking itself takes the same few steps regardless of how far ahead you're planning — your route, your flight number, your vehicle category, and payment, with the fixed price shown before you confirm. There's nothing about a short-notice trip that makes the process itself slower; the only difference is how close to the trip you're doing it.
How close to the trip can you book?
If your trip is genuinely imminent — later today or first thing tomorrow — go ahead and book as soon as your plans are set, and contact us directly if you're unsure whether there's enough time before your flight for a driver to be arranged. Getting in touch early gives the clearest answer for your specific timing.
Flight tracking still applies
A short-notice trip gets exactly the same flight tracking as any other — give us your flight number and your pickup follows the actual landing time, whether you booked a month ago or an hour ago.
If the trip changes again
Trips booked on short notice sometimes change again just as fast — free cancellation up to 12 hours before pickup, refunded in full, covers you the same way it would for any booking. If the trip is cancelled with less notice than that, contact us directly and explain the situation.
Booking the return leg at the same time
If you already know when you're flying back, book that transfer at the same time as the arrival — it takes no longer to set up two legs than one, and it means the whole short-notice trip is arranged in a single sitting rather than something you come back to later.
Getting the receipt right despite the rush
A trip booked in a hurry still deserves the same care on the receipt as one planned weeks out — choose the company receipt option and enter your company's details at booking, and it's generated correctly the first time, with nothing to fix afterward because the trip came together quickly.
What every Förare booking includes

- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Can I book a transfer for a trip that's happening tomorrow?
Yes — the booking process is the same regardless of lead time. Contact us directly if you're unsure whether there's enough time before a very imminent flight.
Does flight tracking work the same for a last-minute booking?
Yes — give us your flight number and your pickup follows the actual landing time, the same as on any booking regardless of when it was made.
What if my last-minute trip gets cancelled again?
Free cancellation applies up to 12 hours before pickup, refunded in full. With less notice than that, contact us directly and explain your situation.
Is the price different for a trip booked at short notice?
No — the fixed price is calculated from your route and vehicle category, not from how far in advance you booked.
Can I still get a company receipt for a last-minute trip?
Yes — choose the company receipt option at booking regardless of lead time, and it's generated the same way as for any business trip.
