What actually drives the difference

A longer trip doesn't just mean more clothes — it usually means more of everything: more shoes for different weather, more entertainment for children, more toiletries that don't fit in carry-on-sized bottles. Add a stroller, sports kit, or the fact that winter clothing takes up more room than summer clothing, and a two-week family trip can easily double the luggage of a weekend one, not just scale it up proportionally.

Using this to choose your category

Add up your own family's bags — large case as two luggage units, cabin bag as one — against the categories: six units for Standard, Electric and Business, with at most two large cases and four pieces; ten for SUV / XL, with at most four large cases; eighteen for Minibus, with at most eight.
