Arriving at Arlanda

Group and Conference Transfers from Arlanda by Minibus

A group landing at Arlanda together — colleagues flying in for a conference, a sports team, a wedding party — usually faces the same annoying choice: split across two or three separate taxis and lose each other at the terminal, or find one vehicle that actually takes everyone.

This guide covers how a minibus transfer works for a group of up to eight, what it actually carries, and the legal reason there's a ceiling on group size for a single car.

Why one minibus beats splitting into separate cars

Booking one vehicle for the whole group means one pickup point, one driver, and everyone arriving at the same place at the same time — useful when the plan on the other end is a shared meeting, a check-in desk, or simply not wanting to coordinate two or three separate arrivals.

It's also one fixed price for the vehicle, agreed before you land, rather than several separate fares that each need working out and paying for individually.

The legal ceiling, and why it's there

Swedish taxi permits cover vehicles approved for at most eight passengers besides the driver — that's the law, not a policy choice we've made, and it's why our largest category is an eight-seat Minibus rather than something larger. A vehicle carrying more than eight passengers falls under a different permit category entirely (effectively a bus), which is a different kind of operation.

In practice that means a group of up to eight fits in one Minibus booking. A group of nine or more needs two vehicles — there's no larger single car we can offer instead, whatever the group size, so it's worth knowing that ceiling before you plan around a single pickup.

What a Minibus transfer actually carries

Beyond the eight seats, the Minibus category has an 18-unit combined luggage budget and room for up to eight large cases — enough for a genuinely full group with a full set of luggage, conference materials or sports equipment, rather than bags balanced on laps.

  • Eight seats — the maximum a single Swedish taxi permit covers
  • An 18-unit luggage budget, with room for up to eight large cases
  • One fixed price for the vehicle, agreed before you land

Booking a group transfer

  1. Enter your route and select the Minibus category — the fixed price for the whole vehicle appears immediately.
  2. Add one flight number for the group's arrival; we track it live and adjust the pickup time to match the actual landing.
  3. If you're carrying conference materials, sports kit or anything else oversized, mention it in the notes — we confirm it fits before you pay.
  4. Pay by card to confirm. The driver's name, phone number and licence plate arrive 90 minutes before pickup for whoever's coordinating the group.

Questions people ask before booking

Can you fit ten people into one vehicle?

No — Swedish taxi permits cover at most eight passengers besides the driver, which is the ceiling for any single vehicle we operate. A group of nine or more needs two bookings.

Does the price change per passenger in a group booking?

No — the Minibus price is one fixed figure for the whole vehicle, agreed before you travel, regardless of how many of the eight seats are filled.

Can a group split into two Minibuses coordinate the same pickup time?

Yes — book both with the same flight number and pickup time, and each is tracked and timed independently against the same live flight data.

How much luggage does a Minibus actually take?

An 18-unit combined luggage budget with room for up to eight large cases — enough for eight passengers each bringing a full-size case, not just carry-on.

Is a Minibus booking any different from booking a smaller category?

The booking process is identical — enter your route, add your flight number, choose Minibus, and pay. The only difference is the seats and luggage room available.

We're a group of six with a lot of conference equipment — should we still book Minibus?

If the equipment pushes you past a smaller category's luggage budget, yes — mention what you're carrying in the booking notes and we'll confirm the right category before you pay.
