Your Hotel Booked Your Arlanda Pickup: What You'll Receive
Updated 3 min read
Some hotels arrange their guests' airport pickup as part of the booking, which is convenient right up until you're standing in arrivals wondering who's actually meeting you, since it isn't you who filled in the form. It helps to know in advance what you should expect to receive and who to contact if it doesn't show up.
This guide covers how a pickup booked on your behalf looks from your side, and what to check before you assume something's gone wrong.
What reaches you directly
When someone else books your transfer — a hotel, a travel agent, a company — the driver's name, phone number and licence plate are still sent out before pickup, but they go to whichever contact details were entered at booking. If the hotel entered your own phone number and email, those details land with you directly, the same as if you'd booked it yourself.
If the hotel used its own contact details instead of yours, the driver details go to the hotel, and it's worth confirming with them beforehand how they'll pass that along to you — by email, by message, or printed on something they hand you at check-out from your previous stop.
What to check before you fly
Ask the hotel two things when they confirm they've booked your pickup: whose contact details are on the booking, and your flight number is attached so the pickup follows your actual landing time rather than a fixed clock time. Both are simple things to confirm by email in advance and awkward to sort out once you've landed.
- Confirm whether the driver details will be sent to you directly or to the hotel
- Make sure your flight number is on the booking so your pickup follows your actual landing
- Ask the hotel for the booking reference in case you need to contact us directly
If your driver hasn't been in touch
Driver details normally arrive before pickup as standard. If you've landed and haven't received anything, and the hotel doesn't have them either, contact us directly with the booking reference from the hotel — we can tell you where the pickup stands and get details to you straight away.
The booking itself is between the hotel and us for payment, but Förare is still the one responsible for the trip actually happening — that doesn't change because someone else arranged it.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Will I get the driver's details even though my hotel booked the transfer?
Yes, if the hotel entered your own contact details at booking. If they used their own, ask the hotel how they'll pass the driver's name, number and licence plate on to you.
Who do I contact if something seems wrong with a hotel-booked pickup?
Contact us directly with the booking reference the hotel gave you — we're responsible for the trip whether you or the hotel made the booking.
Does my pickup still follow my actual landing time if the hotel booked it?
Yes, as long as your flight number is attached to the booking. Confirm with the hotel that it's included when they arrange the pickup.
What should I ask my hotel before I fly?
Whose contact details are on the booking, whether your flight number is attached, and the booking reference — all three are easy to confirm by email before you travel.
Is the price different for a transfer booked by a hotel on my behalf?
The fixed price is agreed at booking regardless of who makes it — the hotel sees the same price you would if you booked directly.
