Flight Diverted Away from Arlanda: What Happens to Your Transfer

A diversion is the airline's decision, made in the air or shortly before departure, and it's usually down to weather, an operational issue at the destination, or occasionally a medical situation on board. You'll normally hear it from the cabin crew or see it on the airline's app before you land, though sometimes the first sign is simply that the aircraft is descending somewhere that clearly isn't Stockholm.

Because our flight tracking follows the flight number you gave us, a diversion is one of the few things it can't quietly absorb — the system is built to move your pickup earlier or later against Arlanda's own arrivals, not to guess that you've landed at a different airport entirely.

1. Contact us as soon as you have a moment — the number and email are on your booking confirmation, and support@forare.eu reaches us even if you can't easily call from where you've landed.
2. Tell us where you actually are, and whether the airline is putting you on a later flight into Arlanda, onto ground transport, or leaving you to make your own way.
3. If you'll still be arriving into Arlanda, even much later than planned, give us the new flight number so tracking can pick it up properly.
4. If your onward plan no longer brings you through Arlanda at all, we'll talk through your booking under our cancellation terms.

Our licensed drivers operate in Arlanda, Stockholm and the Uppsala region — that's the area our taxitrafiktillstånd and our whole operation is built around, and we won't pretend otherwise or send a driver on a journey we're not set up to run safely and legally. If your diversion has put you down well outside that area, the honest answer is that we can't collect you from there, however much we'd like to help.

What we can do is look after the Arlanda booking itself: hold it against a later flight if the airline is still routing you through Arlanda, or cancel it properly if your journey now goes another way. Either way, you're not left chasing us — we deal with the booking, you deal with getting yourself to wherever you're headed next.

Sometimes a diversion means an overnight stay somewhere else, a rebooked flight the next day, or a completely different route into Sweden. If your original pickup time no longer makes sense, tell us the new timing as soon as you have it and we'll rework the booking around it rather than leaving it to lapse.

If instead the trip is simply off, our normal cancellation terms apply — cancel more than 12 hours ahead of the original pickup and it's refunded in full, and where an airline's own diversion or cancellation is the reason, tell us and we'll refund you in full regardless of timing.
