Landing at Arlanda Terminal 2: Finding Your Car
Updated 3 min read
Arlanda's terminal complex isn't one continuous building, and Terminal 2 in particular sits apart from the larger Terminal 5 area most international arrivals pass through. If your flight lands at Terminal 2 and you're expecting the same layout as everywhere else at the airport, it's worth knowing in advance that it works a little differently.
This guide covers what to expect coming out of Terminal 2's arrivals, and how to make sure you connect with your pre-booked car without wandering toward the wrong exit.
Terminal 2 is smaller and physically separate
Because Terminal 2 isn't part of the same connected complex as the airport's larger terminals, its arrivals area and exits are correspondingly more compact — which is generally easier to navigate, not harder, once you know you're not looking for a large multi-level hall. Follow the arrivals signage from the gate through to the exit; airline staff and airport signage on the day are the most reliable guide to the exact route, since gate and exit allocations can vary.
If you land at Terminal 2 expecting to walk toward the same landmarks as a Terminal 5 arrival — Sky City, the rail station concourse — pause and follow the signage for Terminal 2 specifically rather than assuming the two connect directly on the landside.
Meeting your driver
Your driver works from your booking and flight details regardless of which terminal you land at, and the message sent before pickup — name, phone number, licence plate — is what actually gets you to the car, not a memorised map of the terminal. If you're unsure where cars are waiting relative to Terminal 2's specific exit, call the number you were sent rather than guessing.
Because Terminal 2 is compact, the walk from exit to pickup is typically short once you're outside — the main thing worth doing is confirming you've exited on the correct side before you start looking for the car.
If you exit at the wrong side
- Don't assume you've gone wrong just because you don't immediately see the car — call the driver's number first.
- Tell the driver which exit or door you're at; they can usually tell you quickly whether to move or wait.
- If Terminal 2's layout has you on a different side of the building than expected, it's a short walk to correct, not a major detour.
- Contact support if you and the driver can't work it out between you — we'll help sort the meeting point out directly.

Questions people ask before booking
Is Terminal 2 connected to Arlanda's other terminals landside?
Not in the same way as the larger terminal complex — treat it as its own arrivals area and follow the Terminal 2 signage specifically rather than assuming a direct walk to Sky City or the rail station.
How do I find my driver at Terminal 2 specifically?
The same way as any Arlanda pickup — using the driver's name, phone number and licence plate sent before pickup. Call if you can't immediately see the car once you're outside.
Does my driver know I'm landing at Terminal 2?
Yes — flight tracking follows your actual flight, and drivers work from that regardless of which terminal it comes into.
Is the walk from Terminal 2 arrivals to pickup long?
Terminal 2 is smaller and more compact than the main complex, so the walk from exit to a waiting car is typically short.
What if I can't tell which exit I've come out of?
Call the driver's number and describe what you can see — that's quicker and more reliable than trying to work it out alone in an unfamiliar building.
