Full Payment Up Front: Why No Deposit
Updated 3 min read
Some booking services take a small deposit and settle the rest later, so it's a fair question if you've noticed our checkout asks for the full amount up front instead. It isn't an oversight or a way to lock you in — it's a deliberate way of running the booking, and it comes with a clear, honest refund policy attached.

Why full payment, not a deposit
Your booking is confirmed — and the contract formed — once payment is authorised and you get a confirmation with a booking reference. That confirmation is what actually reserves a driver and vehicle for your specific time and route, and full prepayment is what makes that a real, binding commitment on both sides rather than a soft hold that either party could walk away from casually.
It also keeps the price itself simple and predictable: one fixed amount, agreed and paid at booking, rather than a partial charge now and an uncertain balance to settle later.
How refunds actually work
Cancelling more than 12 hours before pickup gets you a full refund to the payment method you used — nothing is kept back, and nothing needs to be negotiated. Cancelling within 12 hours is different: contact us as soon as you know, and where we can resell or reassign the trip we refund what we can, and we always tell you the outcome either way.
If your flight is cancelled or diverted by the airline, tell us as soon as you know and we refund you in full regardless of timing — the flight being the problem, not you, is exactly the situation this exception exists for.
Payment methods and how card details are handled
Bookings are prepaid by card, along with wallets, Klarna and Link where eligible, processed through Stripe — your card details never reach us directly, they go through Stripe's own secure processing.
Companies with a written agreement in place may have separate payment arrangements outside the standard prepaid checkout, which is a separate conversation to have with us directly if that applies to you.
What full payment doesn't mean for you
Full payment up front doesn't mean you're locked into a trip you can no longer change or walk away from — the cancellation and refund terms above apply in full regardless of having paid everything at booking. It simply separates the two decisions cleanly: you commit to the price when you book, and the cancellation policy governs what happens if your plans move afterward, exactly the same as it would with any partial-payment system.
It also means there's no second charge waiting to surprise you closer to the trip — nothing is billed later, nothing is adjusted at the kerb, and the amount you paid at booking is the whole of what you owe.

Questions people ask before booking
Why do I have to pay the full amount instead of a small deposit?
Full prepayment is what confirms the booking and reserves a driver and vehicle for your specific time — it's a deliberate design, not an oversight, and it keeps the price itself simple and fixed.
What happens if I need to cancel after paying in full?
More than 12 hours before pickup, it's refunded in full automatically. Within 12 hours, contact us and we refund what we can where the trip can be resold or reassigned, and we always tell you the outcome.
Is my card information safe when I pay in full?
Yes — payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details never reach us directly.
What if the airline cancels my flight after I've paid?
Tell us as soon as you know and we refund you in full, whatever the timing — an airline cancellation or diversion is treated as the flight's fault, not yours.
How long does a refund take to arrive?
Normally within 5 banking days of us confirming the cancellation, back to the original payment method.
