After You Pay: The Messages You'll Receive
Updated 3 min read
Paying for a transfer before you've even flown can feel like it deserves more visibility than a plane ticket usually gives you — and it does get more. From the moment payment goes through, there's a clear chain of messages that follows, each one telling you something new, ending with a receipt once the trip is done.
This guide walks through that chain in order, so you know exactly what to expect and when.
On this page
Straight after payment: your confirmation
The first message is your booking confirmation, sent as soon as payment completes. It restates the trip you've booked — pickup and drop-off, date and time, vehicle category and the fixed price you paid — so you have a single record to check against if anything about the booking needs revisiting later.
If you gave us a flight number: tracking begins quietly
From the moment your flight number is on the booking, we're watching its live status in the background. You don't get a message for every check — only when something changes that affects your pickup, like the flight landing later or earlier than scheduled, at which point your pickup time updates to match.
Before pickup: your driver's details
Ahead of pickup, you're sent your driver's name, phone number and licence plate. This is the message worth watching for specifically — it's what lets you recognise the right car and reach your driver directly if you need to, rather than standing in arrivals hoping you've spotted the right person.
During the trip and after it: the receipt
Once the trip is complete, a receipt is generated showing the total price, the VAT rate and amount, and it can be made out to you as a private traveller or to a company if you booked on its behalf. That's the final message in the chain, and it's the one to keep for any expense claim or bookkeeping you need to do afterward.
If nothing about your flight changes
Not every trip generates a mid-chain message — if your flight lands roughly on schedule, you may simply go from your driver details straight to your receipt, with nothing in between. That's not a message missing; it just means there was nothing that needed flagging along the way.
If you don't see a message you were expecting
Check your spam or junk folder first, since automated booking messages sometimes land there on some email providers — and if it's still missing, contact us directly and we'll confirm your booking's status right away rather than leaving you to wonder.

Questions people ask before booking
What's the first message I get after paying?
A booking confirmation, sent immediately, restating your pickup and drop-off, date and time, vehicle category and the fixed price you paid.
Will I be notified every time my flight status is checked?
No — we watch it continuously in the background, but you're only messaged when something changes that affects your pickup time, like a flight landing earlier or later than scheduled.
When do I get my driver's name and phone number?
Before pickup, along with their licence plate — that's the message to look out for so you know exactly who's meeting you and can reach them directly.
When is my receipt sent?
Once the trip is complete, showing the total price, the VAT rate and amount, made out to you or to a company as you chose at booking.
What if I don't receive a message I was expecting?
Contact us directly — we'd rather confirm something twice than have you unsure at any point in the chain.
