Is There a Senior Discount?
Updated 3 min read
It's a completely reasonable question, and plenty of services do offer a pensioner rate on transport — so here's a straightforward, honest answer rather than a vague non-response: we don't currently run a specific senior discount on transfers.
That's worth explaining rather than just stating, because what we do offer instead is arguably more useful for predictable travel planning, and it's worth knowing what that actually is.

Why there isn't a separate senior rate
The pricing model is built around one fixed price per route and vehicle category, shown to everyone before they book, rather than a base rate with various discounts layered on top for different groups. That keeps the system simple and the price itself completely predictable — what you're quoted is what you pay, with no codes to apply or eligibility to check.
If that changes in the future, it'll be reflected clearly at booking — this page reflects how pricing works today, not a permanent policy that can never be revisited.
What actually helps keep the price predictable for you
- One fixed price for the whole car, shown before you book — no surprise additions once you're in the vehicle.
- No terminal fee, no night surcharge, no surge pricing — the figure you see at booking doesn't move for timing or demand.
- Free cancellation more than 12 hours before pickup, refunded in full, so a change of plan doesn't cost you anything if you catch it early.
Getting help with mobility or a longer journey
If mobility is a factor for your trip — needing more time at pickup, help with luggage, or a particular kind of vehicle — tell us at booking so we can send something suitable, and mention it again in the notes if anything specific would make the journey easier. This kind of practical accommodation is a separate thing from pricing, and it's genuinely worth flagging regardless of age.
Why predictability tends to matter more than a discount
For a lot of travellers, the real value isn't a percentage knocked off a price — it's knowing exactly what a trip will cost weeks before you take it, with nothing that can change once it's booked. That's arguably more useful for planning a fixed travel budget than a discount that still leaves the underlying figure somewhat uncertain until the day.
If cost is a genuine concern for a specific trip, it's worth asking about the vehicle categories directly — a smaller category for fewer passengers and less luggage is naturally priced lower than a larger one, so choosing the right size for your actual trip is one practical way to manage the total.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Is there a pensioner or senior discount on transfers?
Not currently — pricing is one fixed rate per route and vehicle category, shown before you book, rather than a base price with discounts for different groups.
Could a senior discount be introduced in future?
This reflects how pricing works today. If that changes, it would be shown clearly at the point of booking.
What if I need extra time or help getting to the car?
Mention it in the booking notes so we can plan for it — mobility needs are a separate, practical consideration from pricing and are genuinely worth flagging.
Does the fixed price change depending on who's travelling?
No — the price is set by route and vehicle category, not by who's in the car.
Is booking ahead still worth it even without a discount?
Yes — you get the same predictable, fixed price and free cancellation window as anyone else, which is often the more valuable thing for planning a trip with confidence.
