Booking a Fixed-Price Ride to a Stockholm Hospital
Updated 3 min read
For a non-emergency hospital appointment — a scan, a check-up, ongoing outpatient treatment — knowing exactly what the ride there will cost and exactly when it'll arrive is worth more than it might sound, especially if you're already dealing with the appointment itself. This is for planned trips only: if this is a medical emergency, call 112 rather than booking online.

Booking a custom trip to a hospital
A point-to-point booking lets you set your own address as pickup and the hospital as the destination, at a time you choose around your appointment. The fixed price for that specific route is shown before you book, so there's nothing to work out on the day itself.
Getting the entrance right
Larger hospitals often have more than one entrance, and the closest one to a car set-down point isn't always the one nearest your specific department. If you know which entrance or building you need — from your appointment letter or the hospital's own website — put it in the booking notes so your driver can head there directly rather than a generic hospital address that leaves you with an extra walk.
Mobility needs and getting there comfortably
If you need help with a wheelchair, have limited mobility, or are travelling with medical equipment, tell us at booking so we can send a suitable vehicle. It's much easier to plan for this in advance than to discover it doesn't quite work on the day.
If you'd like the same arrangement for the return trip after your appointment, book it as its own leg — it has its own time and, if your appointment runs long or short, can be adjusted with notice.
If your appointment time changes
Hospital appointments shift more often than most travel plans — an earlier slot opens up, a clinic runs behind, a follow-up gets rescheduled entirely. Changing the time on the same day and route is free, subject to a car being available, so contact us as soon as you know rather than assuming the original booking has to stand.
If the appointment moves to a different day altogether, treat it as a fresh booking for the new date — our normal cancellation terms apply to the original one if it's no longer needed, refunded in full when cancelled more than 12 hours ahead.
A calmer way to arrive at an appointment
Hospital visits already carry enough to think about without adding transport logistics on top — working out parking, timing a drive against traffic, or navigating public transport to an unfamiliar building. Booking a fixed-price ride to the door means one less thing to plan around on a day that's already asking a lot of you.

Questions people ask before booking
Is this suitable for a medical emergency?
No — for an emergency, call 112. This is for planned, non-emergency appointments where you know the time and place in advance.
Can I book to a specific hospital entrance, not just the general address?
Yes — name the entrance or department in your booking notes and your driver will head there directly.
Can you accommodate a wheelchair?
Tell us at booking so we can send a suitable vehicle — it's much easier to plan for in advance than to sort out at the kerb.
Can I book the return trip at the same time?
You can book it separately with its own time, which lets you adjust it if your appointment runs longer or shorter than expected.
Is the price fixed even for a short trip within the city?
Yes — the same fixed-price guarantee applies to a point-to-point city trip as to any booking, shown before you book.
