Paying Later for a Transfer: How It Works

If you've noticed a pay-later option alongside card payment at checkout, it's worth understanding how it fits with the rest of the booking before you use it — particularly what happens if you need to cancel or change your plans afterward.

How it fits into checkout
Where eligible, a pay-later option is offered as one of the accepted checkout methods alongside card and other wallets, provided through Klarna. Eligibility for pay-later itself is determined by Klarna, not by us, based on their own checks — it isn't guaranteed to be available for every booking or every customer.
Once approved and used, your booking is confirmed the same way as any other payment method — you get a booking confirmation with a reference, and the trip is reserved.
Whose terms govern the pay-later arrangement
The specific terms of paying later — the schedule, any fees, what happens if a payment is missed — are Klarna's own terms, agreed between you and Klarna directly, not something we set or control. Read what Klarna presents at checkout before confirming, the same as you would with any pay-later provider.
How a refund works if you cancel
Our own cancellation policy still applies regardless of payment method: cancel more than 12 hours before pickup and it's refunded in full; within 12 hours, contact us and we refund what we can where the trip can be resold or reassigned. What a refund actually looks like when pay-later was used depends on where you are in Klarna's own payment schedule — if you've already made payments toward the booking, those are refunded through Klarna; if you haven't yet paid anything, the outstanding obligation with Klarna is what gets cancelled.

For travellers who'd rather not tie up funds on a card weeks before a trip, or who simply prefer spreading a payment, pay-later can be a genuinely useful option where it's offered — the booking itself works exactly the same way once confirmed, with the same fixed price, the same driver details sent before pickup, and the same waiting time and flight tracking as any other payment method.
It's worth treating the payment method as a separate decision from the trip itself: choose whichever checkout option suits your situation, and everything else about the booking and what you're actually entitled to stays identical either way.
