What Personal Data Your Booking Uses
Updated 3 min read
A transfer booking is a small transaction, but it does touch some personal information: your name, a phone number, a flight, a payment. If you'd rather understand what's collected and why before you type any of it into a form, that's a reasonable thing to want, and this is a plain answer.
This isn't a substitute for the full policy — it's the short version, written for someone deciding whether to book rather than someone auditing a contract.

What a booking actually asks for
Every field earns its place. Nothing is collected because it might be useful someday — each piece is there because a specific part of the trip depends on it.
- Your name and phone number, so the driver can identify you and reach you if needed
- A pickup and drop-off address, so the route can be quoted and driven
- A flight number, if you're arriving or departing by air, so we can track it
- Payment details, handled directly by our payment processor — card numbers never reach us
- An email address, for the booking confirmation and receipt
Who actually sees it
Your name and phone number are shared with the driver assigned to your trip, because that's the person who needs to identify you at pickup and reach you if plans change. Your flight number is used to track the live arrival time so your pickup can follow it. Payment information goes to our payment processor and never sits on our own systems as a full card number.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use your booking details for anything unrelated to the trip you booked — no unrelated marketing lists built from a transfer booking.
Why we ask for a flight number specifically
This is the one field that sometimes gives people pause, because it can feel like more information than a taxi needs. The reason is practical: without it, we can't watch your actual landing time, and your pickup would be set to a fixed clock time instead of following the flight. It's optional in the sense that you can book without it, but the flight-tracking benefit only works if we have it.
Where the full detail lives
The complete picture — retention periods, your rights under GDPR, how to request a copy or deletion of your data, and who to contact — is set out in full in our privacy policy, linked from every page on the site. This guide is the short version for someone deciding whether to book; the policy is the long version for anyone who wants the specifics in writing.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Do you sell or share my data with anyone outside the trip?
No. Your details are used to arrange and carry out your booking — the driver, our payment processor, and flight-tracking data for your specific trip. We don't build marketing lists from booking data or sell it on.
Do I need to give a flight number to book?
No, it's optional, but without it we can't track your arrival and your pickup is set to a fixed time rather than following the actual landing. If you have it, it's worth adding.
Can I book without creating an account?
Yes — a booking only needs your contact details for that specific trip, not an account. See the guide on booking without an account for the full walkthrough.
How do I see or delete the data from a past booking?
The privacy policy explains how to request a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted, along with how long different records are kept. Contact support with your booking reference to start either request.
Does my card number reach Förare directly?
No. Payment is processed by our payment provider, and full card details never reach our own systems.
