Can You Ask for the Same Driver Next Time?
Updated 3 min read
It's a natural thing to want, especially for travellers who make the same trip regularly, or older travellers who value the comfort of a familiar face at pickup: a driver who made last time easy, and the hope of getting them again.
The honest answer is that we don't take requests for a specific driver. Here's why, what stays the same whoever comes, and what you can usefully do if a particular driver made your trip.

The short answer
Every booking is assigned a car and a driver by us, for that pickup time and route. Our terms say so plainly: we decide which vehicle and which driver performs your trip, and it may be performed by a licensed taxi company we have approved rather than by us directly. Förare is responsible to you for the trip either way.
That means a note asking for a named driver isn't something we act on, and we'd rather say so now than let you hope for it and feel let down at the kerb.
Why assignment works this way
Driver assignment depends on who's working, where they are, and which cars are free at your exact pickup time. Building bookings around individual preferences would make every other booking less reliable — and reliability is the thing a pre-booked transfer is for. A car that turns up on time matters more than which person is in it.
What stays the same whoever is driving
If you're a commuter or a frequent visitor making the same route often, the parts of the trip that made it easy are not tied to one person. The fixed price, flight tracking on airport pickups, 45 minutes of free waiting and free cancellation more than 12 hours before pickup apply to every booking.
Every vehicle we dispatch is a licensed Swedish taxi, and every driver holds a valid taxiförarlegitimation. Whatever it was you valued — a calm manner, help with the bags, knowing the route — is what we expect of every driver we send.
What you can do instead
Tell us. If a driver made a difference, an email to support@forare.eu with your booking reference means the praise reaches the right person. The same goes the other way: if something about a trip wasn't right, that feedback is what lets us fix it for next time.
And if what you actually need is something practical — help with luggage, a front seat, extra time to get into the car — put that in the booking notes. That kind of need travels with the booking, whoever is assigned.
Knowing who is coming
You won't know the driver when you book, but you won't be meeting a stranger blind either. Your driver's name, phone number and the car's licence plate are sent to you before pickup, so you know exactly who is coming and can call them directly if you need to.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Can I request the same driver as my last trip?
No — we assign the car and driver for every booking, and we don't take requests for a named driver. The fixed price, flight tracking and waiting time are the same whoever comes.
How can I thank a driver who made my trip easy?
Email support@forare.eu with your booking reference and what they did. We pass it on.
Does booking further ahead make a particular driver more likely?
No. Booking early secures your car and price, but it doesn't change how drivers are assigned.
Will I get driver details before pickup?
Yes — your driver's name, phone number and licence plate are sent before pickup, so you know exactly who's coming.
Do all drivers offer the same standard of service?
Every driver is a licensed Swedish taxi driver holding a taxiförarlegitimation, and the same guarantees — flight tracking, waiting time, fixed price — apply regardless of who's assigned.
