What the Business Category Actually Adds
Updated 3 min read
For a company traveller deciding whether the Business category is worth expensing over Standard, the question deserves a straight answer: what genuinely differs, and what's identical regardless of which category you pick. Both are worth knowing before you book.

What Business adds
A more premium vehicle and a driver presented accordingly — that's the category's core offer, chosen at booking and priced with the full fixed cost shown before you pay. It's the visible, tangible upgrade: the car and how it's presented, nothing more mysterious than that.
What stays exactly the same
None of our core guarantees are tiered by category. A Standard booking and a Business booking are equally reliable — the difference is entirely in the vehicle and its presentation, not in how well the trip is run.
- The same flight tracking on arrivals — pickup follows your actual landing regardless of category
- The same free waiting time on every pickup
- The same free cancellation window and refund terms
- The same licensed Swedish taxi standard, every driver holding a taxiförarlegitimation
- The same receipt with the VAT line, made out to you or your company
The receipt, for expensing
Business bookings generate the same style of company receipt as any category, with the VAT line clearly shown — see the guide on corporate invoice vs receipt for exactly what it contains. Choosing Business doesn't change what the receipt looks like or how VAT is presented, only the fare it reflects.
When it's genuinely worth booking
If a client meeting or delegation makes the presentation of the arrival matter — meeting a partner, collecting a visiting executive — Business is built for exactly that. For a routine solo trip where nobody's watching the car pull up, Standard delivers the identical guarantees for less, and there's no operational reason to prefer one over the other beyond what the occasion calls for.
Deciding between the two for a company policy
Some companies set a blanket policy — Business for client-facing pickups, Standard for internal travel — while others simply let the traveller decide per trip. Either approach works fine from our side, since both categories carry identical reliability and receipting; it's genuinely a question of what your company wants to spend on presentation, not a decision that affects how well the trip itself is run.
Whichever policy your company sets, it's worth writing it down somewhere travellers can actually find before they book, rather than leaving each person to guess which category the expense policy expects — a quick line in the travel policy saves a repeated question to whoever handles approvals.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Is the Business category more reliable than Standard?
No — flight tracking, waiting time and cancellation terms are identical across every category. Business differs in the vehicle and presentation, not in reliability.
Does Business come with a different receipt?
The same style of receipt with the VAT line, made out to you or your company — see the guide on corporate invoice vs receipt for the details.
Is Business worth booking for a solo routine trip?
That's a personal or company policy call — the guarantees are identical to Standard, so the extra cost buys the car and presentation specifically, not extra reliability.
Can I book Business for a private, non-company trip?
Yes — see the guide on booking the Business category for a private occasion for more on that.
Does the Business category guarantee a specific car model?
No — it's a standard of vehicle and presentation rather than a named model, so we don't promise a specific make or model in advance.
