Rather than ask you to take that on faith, the way the fare is built is public: a base amount for the vehicle category, a component for distance, and one for expected journey time, combined into a single number for the whole car.

The three inputs behind every price

  • A base amount tied to the vehicle category you choose — Standard, Electric, Business, SUV/XL or Minibus each start from a different point, reflecting the size and running cost of that vehicle.
  • A distance component, measured from the actual road route between your pickup and drop-off, not a straight-line distance or a flat zone charge.
  • A time component, reflecting how long the journey is expected to take given normal traffic conditions on that route.

Why it's the real route, not a zone table

Some transfer services price by zone — a flat figure for 'central Stockholm', another for 'north of the city' — which is simple but blunt: two addresses in the same zone can be minutes apart or genuinely far apart, and a zone charge treats them the same. Förare measures the actual route each time, so the price reflects the specific trip you're booking rather than a bracket it happens to fall into.

One number for the car, not a running total

Everything the formula produces is combined into one fixed price for the whole vehicle, shown before you pay. It isn't a starting estimate that a meter then adjusts during the ride — it's the final number, agreed before the driver is even dispatched, and it doesn't move afterward regardless of traffic, the route taken, or how long the trip actually takes.

Why publishing the formula matters more than publishing a number

A number by itself doesn't tell you much — you'd still have to trust that it's fair without knowing how it was reached. Describing the formula in words, rather than just quoting a total, is meant to let you check the logic for yourself: does a longer route cost more than a shorter one, does a bigger vehicle category cost more than a smaller one, does the price hold steady regardless of when you book. Those are the checks a formula description lets you make, in a way a single quoted figure never could.

Yes — the price shown includes 6% VAT, and your receipt breaks out the VAT line separately.

Does the vehicle category change more than just the base amount?
