Reading Your Förare Receipt Line by Line
Updated 3 min read
A taxi receipt only matters when someone actually needs it — an expense claim, a company's bookkeeping, a personal record of a trip. When that moment comes, it helps to know what you're actually looking at rather than squinting at a PDF trying to work out which number is which.
Here's what appears on a Förare receipt and what each part means, so filing it takes thirty seconds instead of a guess.
On this page
The price line
The headline figure is the total price for the vehicle, in Swedish kronor, covering the whole car for the whole trip — it's not a per-passenger charge, so if several of you travelled together the number on the receipt is what the group paid in total, not what any one person owes.
The VAT breakdown
Below the total, the receipt shows the VAT rate applied to passenger transport and the VAT amount itself, broken out separately from the price. That breakdown is what turns a plain payment confirmation into a proper VAT receipt — the thing a bookkeeper or an expense system actually needs, rather than just a total that says 'paid'.
The company or personal name
The receipt is made out either to you personally or to a company, depending on which option you chose at checkout. If you're submitting it as a business expense, check this line first — it's the detail most likely to cause a hold-up if it was set to the wrong option when the booking was made, since it determines whose name the trip is formally recorded against.
Why the receipt is generated automatically
Because every booking is prepaid, the receipt is generated at the point of payment rather than something you have to request afterward. That means it's sitting in your inbox before the trip has even happened, ready to file whenever you need it — you don't need to remember to ask a driver for one at the end of the ride, the way you might with a metered taxi.
Filing it for expenses
For most expense systems, the total price and the VAT breakdown are the two figures that matter — enter the total as the expense amount and the VAT line as the reclaimable portion, and the receipt supports that directly without needing any further calculation on your part.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
What does the total on my receipt include?
It's the full fixed price for the vehicle, including VAT, for the whole trip — the same number you saw and agreed to before you paid, with nothing added afterward.
Where's the VAT shown on the receipt?
Below the total price, as a separate line showing the VAT rate and the VAT amount, so it can be entered directly into bookkeeping or an expense system.
Can I get a receipt made out to my company instead of me personally?
Yes — choose the company receipt option at checkout and enter the company details; the receipt is then issued in the company's name rather than yours.
I've lost my receipt — can I get another copy?
Contact us with your booking details and we can resend it — the receipt is generated from the booking record, so nothing about it changes on a reissue.
Does the receipt show who was driving or which car I was in?
The receipt focuses on the price and VAT breakdown needed for bookkeeping. Driver and vehicle details are sent separately before your pickup.
Can I change the receipt from personal to company after the trip?
Contact us with your booking details and we can look at correcting it. It's easiest to get the choice right at checkout in the first place.
