Apple Pay and Google Pay for Your Arlanda Transfer
Updated 3 min read
Typing a card number into a phone while juggling a boarding pass and a bag isn't anyone's favourite part of travelling. A phone wallet skips that entirely, and it's available at Förare checkout for travellers who are set up to use it.
Here's what to expect if you'd rather tap to pay than type card details in.

Wallets at checkout
Apple Pay and Google Pay appear as payment options at checkout where you're eligible — that eligibility depends on your device, your browser and the card you've already got saved in the wallet, not on anything specific to your booking. Where it's offered, it works the same as a wallet payment anywhere else: a tap or a face/fingerprint confirmation, and the payment is done.
Why prepaying with a wallet still matters at the kerb
The bigger point isn't really the wallet itself — it's that the booking is prepaid, however you pay. Once checkout is complete, there's nothing left to pay when the driver actually arrives. No card reader at the kerb, no working out a tip, no fumbling for a wallet with luggage in hand — you're simply met, and the trip is already settled.
Booking on a phone from the start
Because the whole booking flow — route, time, flight, payment — works on a phone, a wallet fits naturally into the end of a process you were likely already completing on your device anyway. There's no separate app to install for the wallet itself; it's simply the payment method your phone or browser already offers at the checkout step.
Security is handled by your phone, not by us
A wallet payment is authenticated on your device — a face scan, a fingerprint, or your phone's passcode — before it's ever sent to checkout, which is the same authentication your phone already uses for other purchases. We don't see or store that authentication step; it happens entirely on your device before the payment reaches us.

Questions people ask before booking
Can I pay for my Förare booking with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes, where you're eligible — the option appears at checkout based on your device and the card saved in your wallet.
What if I don't see a wallet option at checkout?
Wallet eligibility depends on your device and browser setup, not on your booking. Card payment is always available as the standard option.
Do I still need to pay anything when the driver arrives?
No — the booking is fully prepaid at checkout, however you pay, so there's nothing to pay or tip at the kerb.
Is paying with a wallet any faster or safer than a card?
It removes the step of typing card details into your phone, but functionally it's the same prepaid checkout either way — one fixed price, paid before you travel.
Does using a wallet change the price I pay?
No — the fixed price is the same regardless of which payment method you use to complete checkout.
Do I need to install a separate app to use Apple Pay or Google Pay?
No — it uses whatever wallet is already set up on your phone or browser. There's nothing extra to install for the booking itself.
Is card payment still available if I don't use a wallet?
Yes — card payment is always the standard option at checkout, alongside wallets where you're eligible and Klarna where it's offered too.
