Paying for Your Airport Transfer with Klarna
Updated 3 min read
For a lot of Swedish shoppers, Klarna is simply how checkout works — a familiar option that shows up on plenty of sites and gets used without a second thought. It's available on a Förare booking too, where you're eligible, and it's worth knowing how it behaves for a trip you might end up needing to cancel.
Here's when Klarna appears at checkout, and what happens to that payment if your plans change.

When Klarna shows up at checkout
Klarna appears as a payment option where you're eligible — eligibility is determined by Klarna itself based on your details at checkout, not something we control or can guarantee for every booking or every traveller. Where it's offered, choosing it works the way Klarna normally does: you complete whichever Klarna flow it presents, and the booking is confirmed once that payment goes through.
What a cancellation means for a Klarna payment
The cancellation terms are the same regardless of how you paid. Cancel more than 12 hours before pickup and you're refunded in full to the original payment method — for a Klarna payment, that means the refund follows the normal Klarna process on their side, just as a card refund follows the normal process on a bank's side.
Within 12 hours of pickup, the same rules apply as for any payment method: contact us as soon as you know, and where we can resell or reassign the trip we refund what we can and tell you the outcome either way.
Klarna alongside the rest of the checkout options
Klarna sits next to card payment and phone wallets at checkout, not instead of them — if it isn't offered to you for whatever reason, card payment is always available as the standard option, and the booking works exactly the same way regardless of which one you use. None of it changes the fixed price itself, only how you settle it.
Why Klarna eligibility isn't guaranteed for every booking
Klarna makes its own eligibility decision based on details at checkout, in the same way it would for any other merchant — factors like your location, your history with Klarna, or the specific payment product being offered can all play a part. That's genuinely outside our control, which is why the honest answer is 'where you're eligible' rather than a blanket yes for every traveller.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Can I use Klarna to pay for an Arlanda transfer?
Where you're eligible, yes — Klarna appears as a payment option at checkout alongside card and wallet options.
Why don't I see Klarna as an option?
Klarna eligibility is determined by Klarna itself at checkout based on your details, not something we set per booking.
If I cancel a booking I paid with Klarna, do I get refunded?
Yes, under the same terms as any payment method — free cancellation more than 12 hours before pickup is refunded in full, following the normal process for however you paid.
Does paying with Klarna change the price?
No — the fixed price is the same whichever payment method you choose at checkout.
Is the booking still prepaid if I use Klarna?
Yes — whichever Klarna option you complete at checkout settles the booking the same way a card payment does, so there's nothing left to pay when the driver arrives.
What happens if Klarna isn't offered to me?
Card payment and, where eligible, phone wallets remain available as standard checkout options — the booking process is otherwise identical.
Does Klarna change how quickly my booking is confirmed?
No — once payment is completed through whichever method you choose, the booking is confirmed the same way, with the same driver and flight-tracking process behind it.
