Destinations Beyond Instant Quoting: The Email Quote
Updated 3 min read
Most routes into and out of Arlanda price themselves instantly the moment you type an address — but not every destination does. Once a route stretches far enough beyond the city, the booking page stops offering an instant fixed price and asks for an email address instead. That isn't a bug or a dead end; it's simply where instant pricing gives way to a personal quote.
Here's why that ceiling exists, how the email quote works, and what our actual service area covers.

Why some routes can't be priced instantly
Instant pricing works because the formula behind it — a base for the vehicle category, plus distance and time — is reliable for the routes it's built around. Past a certain distance, that reliability breaks down: journey time becomes harder to predict accurately, and the trip starts to look less like a standard transfer and more like a bespoke long-distance booking that deserves an individually checked price rather than an automatic one.
How the email quote works
- Enter your route as normal — pickup, destination, and when you're travelling.
- If the route falls outside instant quoting, you'll be asked for an email address instead of shown a price straight away.
- A short verification step confirms it's really your address — a code is sent to it, and you type the code back before the request goes through.
- Your route, the measured distance, your travel date and your party size land with our team, who work out a personal fixed price and send it to you by email.
What the service area actually is
Förare operates in Arlanda, Stockholm and Uppsala — that's the area the product is built and licensed around, and it's where the great majority of routes, instant or quoted, actually fall. A route landing outside instant pricing doesn't mean it's outside the service area entirely, but it does mean the trip needs a human to check it rather than a formula, and it's worth being upfront that very distant destinations may simply be outside what we can offer at all.
If you're not sure whether your route qualifies
There's no need to guess in advance — enter your route into the booking page as normal, and it tells you directly whether an instant price is available or whether you'll need the email quote instead. There's no separate page to find or extra step to take before you know which path applies to your trip.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting on every pickup, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Why did the booking page ask for my email instead of showing a price?
Your route falls beyond the distance instant pricing is built to handle reliably. Past that point, a route needs a personally checked quote rather than an automatic one.
How long does an email quote take to arrive?
Once your request is verified and sent, our team works out a fixed price for your specific route and sends it to the email you provided.
Why do I have to verify my email with a code first?
It confirms the request is really from you before it reaches our team, so every quote request is genuine rather than a mistyped or invented address.
Does a quoted route still come with a fixed price?
Yes — the quote you receive by email is a fixed price for your route, agreed before you book, the same principle as instant pricing, just checked individually rather than calculated automatically.
Do you serve destinations outside Stockholm and Uppsala?
Our service area is Arlanda, Stockholm and Uppsala. A route that falls well outside that area may not be one we can quote at all — our team will tell you either way.
How do I find out if my specific route needs an email quote?
Enter it into the booking page — it tells you directly whether an instant price is shown or whether the email quote flow applies, with no need to guess beforehand.
