Sharing a Booking Link with a Traveller
Updated 3 min read
If you're an assistant arranging travel, a host expecting a guest, or simply someone who'd rather have the traveller book themselves rather than handle it on their behalf, it helps if the link you send already opens to the right kind of trip — rather than making them start from scratch and pick the direction themselves.
Here's how the booking page's different links work, so you can share exactly the right one.
On this page
Three doors into the same booking page
- An arrival link opens with Arlanda pre-filled as the pickup, ready for someone flying in.
- A departure link opens set up for a trip to Arlanda, ready for someone flying out.
- A custom link opens with both ends left open, for a city-to-city trip that doesn't involve the airport at all.
Why this is worth doing rather than just sending the homepage
Sending a general link means the traveller has to work out which flow they need before they've even started — arrival or departure, airport or custom. A pre-filled link skips that step entirely: they open it, and the booking is already pointed at the right kind of trip, leaving them to fill in the specifics like their flight number or exact address.
Filling in the rest
Once the traveller opens the right link, they still complete the booking themselves — entering their flight number for an airport trip, their exact addresses for a custom one, choosing the vehicle category, and paying. Sharing the link sets the starting point; it doesn't book or pay for the trip on their behalf.
In three steps
- Decide which kind of trip the traveller needs — arriving, departing, or a custom city ride — and use the matching link.
- Send it to them directly, by message or email, the way you'd share any link.
- They open it, fill in their own details, choose a vehicle category, and pay — the booking and payment stay with them.
A practical example
Say a colleague is flying into Arlanda for a meeting and then flying home two days later. Rather than explaining the booking page to them over email, sending the arrival link for the inbound flight and the departure link for the return means they land on the right screen each time, ready to add their own flight number and pay, without needing to hunt for the correct option themselves.

Questions people ask before booking
Can I send someone a link that opens straight to the right kind of booking?
Yes — there are separate links for an arrival, a departure and a custom city ride, each opening the booking page pre-set for that trip.
Does sending the link book the trip for them?
No — the link sets the starting point. The traveller still enters their own details, such as flight number or exact address, chooses a category, and pays themselves.
Can I pay for the trip myself but still send them the link to fill in details?
That's a slightly different flow — see the guide on gifting an airport ride for how to book and pay yourself while the traveller's own details are used for pickup.
What if I'm not sure which link to send?
Think about the trip from the traveller's side: are they flying in, flying out, or making a city trip that doesn't touch Arlanda at all — that decides which of the three links fits.
Does using a pre-filled link change the price?
No — it only sets which kind of trip the booking page opens to. The price is still calculated from the actual route once it's entered.
Can I send both an arrival and a departure link to the same traveller?
Yes — send whichever links match their actual trips, such as an arrival link for the inbound flight and a departure link for the return.
