What's Included in Your Price — and What Never Gets Added
Updated 3 min read
Anyone who's been surprised by a taxi fare, or read the fine print on a booking only to find a terminal fee or a card surcharge waiting at the end, has good reason to ask exactly what's included before paying. It's a fair question, and the answer here is meant to be complete, not a list that quietly leaves things out.
This guide covers everything folded into the price you see before you book, and the one thing that isn't automatically included but can be added — clearly, before you pay, never afterward.
On this page
What's already in the price
The price shown before you book is the total for the whole car, for the whole trip — not a per-person figure, and not a starting point that grows once you're in the car.
- 6% VAT, already included, with the amount broken out on your receipt afterward
- No terminal fee added for airport pickups or drop-offs
- No night surcharge, regardless of what time your flight lands or departs
- No surge pricing — the fixed price doesn't change with demand, weather or how busy the airport is
- The free waiting window on every pickup, counted from your driver's confirmed arrival
- Flight tracking, so your pickup time follows your actual landing rather than the printed schedule
The one thing that's optional, and shown before you pay
A child seat is the one addition that isn't automatic — request it at booking, tell us the child's age, and it's shown as part of your price before you pay, not added afterward. Nothing about it is hidden; you see the full total, seat included, before you confirm.
What genuinely can change the price — and why that's not a hidden fee
The only things that change the price are things that change the trip itself: a different pickup or drop-off address, or needing a larger vehicle category than originally booked because of extra passengers or luggage. Both of those are requoted and shown to you before anything is finalised — they're not fees added silently to the trip you already agreed to.
Why it's worth checking this list once, not every time
None of this changes trip to trip — the same list applies whether you're booking a short hop within Stockholm or a longer route out to Uppsala. Once you know what's included, there's nothing new to check on your next booking.
What every Förare booking includes
The fixed price you see before booking is the price on your receipt — 6% VAT included, whole car, not per person.
- Flight tracked — pickup follows your live arrival
- 45 minutes free waiting, from your driver's confirmed arrival
- No terminal fee
- No surge pricing, ever
- Free cancellation up to 12 hours
Questions people ask before booking
Is VAT included in the price I see, or added afterward?
Included. The 6% VAT is already part of the fixed price shown before you book, and it's simply broken out as its own line on your receipt afterward.
Is there a terminal fee for airport pickups?
No — there's no terminal fee, no night surcharge, and no surge pricing added to the fixed price you're shown before booking.
Do I pay extra if my flight is delayed?
No. Flight tracking and the free waiting window are already part of the price — a delay doesn't add anything.
How do I add a child seat, and does it show in the price?
Request it at booking with the child's age, and it's shown as part of your total price before you pay — it's the one optional extra, and it's never hidden.
Can the price change after I've booked?
Only if the trip itself changes — a different address, or a larger vehicle category needed for more passengers or luggage — and you'd see the new price before it's finalised, never a silent add-on.
